Thrilled to be a part of the Coalition of Sanctuaries!
The missions of The Farm Dog Rescue and The Coalition of Sanctuaries naturally go hand in hand to help unwanted animals while supporting our communities. The Farm Dog Rescue is a no-kill animal welfare organization serving Martin County and surrounding communities. Our goal is to rescue and adopt dogs, to educate the public about responsible animal care and the plight of animals, and to help animals in need. The Farm Dog Rescue has made spay and neuter programs a priority to help reduce pet overpopulation in Martin County and surrounding areas.
The services provided by CoS will help us achieve our goals by providing space for animal housing and excercise, a veterinary exam and treatment room, a storm shelter, a site manager, and facilities to encourage community involvement. When The Farm Dog Rescue started in 2018, we vowed to to try to change the experience surrounding animal rescue in a positive way. The five acre facility provided by CoS in western Martin County offers plenty of natural space were we can hold animals undergoing rehabilitation, or keep those requiring permanent sanctuary. When people visit to view our dogs for adoption, they’re going to want to spend the day taking in all the plants and animals that inhabit the property, and return for a repeat visit! Without CoS, it would have been very difficult for us to generate the resources necessary to make this dream come true. We look forward to a lasting partnership and the benefits that it will bring to our organizations, the animals we care for, and the community we serve.
